Leo continues his adventure in South Penghu Marine National Park. These four islands in the southern-most point of the Pescadores are rich in fisheries and serve as a vital breeding ground for Taiwan’s fish species. This maritime reserve has since been designated as a national park to protect the environment and natural resources. On a journey fraught with danger, the crew braves jagged reefs scattered throughout the surrounding waters before taking refuge at Dongyuping Fishing Harbor. Taiwanese opera is the only traditional opera native to Taiwan, which celebrates actresses cross-dressing as male characters. In 2022, Chen Ya-lan became the first Taiwanese opera actress to win Best Leading Actor at the Golden Bell Awards for her performance in “Lord Jiaqing and The Journey to Taiwan,” a television series that Chen sold three houses to fund and produce. This Sustainable Farm Is Rethinking Holistic Care | Sustainable Footprints

Modelled on northern European care homes, Saint Mary’s Health Farm is a unique blueprint of sustainable practices and holistic care in Taitung, Taiwan. Incorporating universal design principles, the farm combines a range of therapeutic techniques and social spaces designed to provide community and care for anyone who visits. This interview with the farm’s director explores the intersections of community, holistic and environmental care. Saint Mary’s Health Farm Director Albert Wang sits down with host Pai Pei-hua to discuss his therapy farm in Taitung. Designed to help people recover from traumatic events and learn to cope with life's stresses, the farm provides vital community healthcare.
