台灣，大家庭，大冒險最後一站：孩子第一次坐捷運，我們要去台北的哪裡呢？Taiwan, Big Family Adventure. Last Stop is Our First Time on MRT!

These simple moments, doing new things, learning, and exploring together are what make family life so enjoyable. By God's grace, our family business has been running for 3 years. It's been an up and down journey but we're happy that things are still going. Here's the story behind Metsa Skirts: As you may know, there are 7 girls in our family (8 including Mom) and skirts are an essential part of our wardrobe. We wanted something our daughters could wear that was modest yet beautiful. So when the girls were younger, Christy started making skirts for the girls on Stephen's grandma's old Singer Featherweight sewing machine. Many people eventually saw our girls wearing these skirts and would ask where they got them. We would tell them that Christy made them at home! Eventually we thought that it would be a good idea to make more, locally, here in Taiwan, and share them with more people. So we traveled in Taiwan and Japan looking for the best fabrics and suppliers that could help us scale operations so that we could serve more people. And that's how it all started! Over the past few months Christy and the girls have come up with a brand-new design for a 4-tier skirt that is modest, beautiful, and timeless. We hope that these new skirts are a perfect fit for your summer wardrobe. Not only that, we have some new tiered skirts with pretty floral designs, unique textures, and we added a new color to our denim-style skirts, which are really easy to match with any color top! 台北地熱谷，粗米粉，微型世界，季芳愛的蛋糕！Ep12 Taipei Thermal Valley? Hot Lunch, Miniature World, & Christy's Cake!Ep.12

今日影片是我們台北之旅的第二集，盼盼阿姨和Adeline 為我們全家人安排了充實又精彩的一天。我們從風景優美的北投開始，悠閒地在(地熱谷)散步。這裡的泉水呈現漂亮的藍綠色，不停地沸騰著，四周還裊裊升起陣陣硫磺煙霧。對我們這樣的大家庭來說，這真是個完美的早晨活動。或許你們家也會喜歡呢！接著我們前往附近的室內菜市場，在一堆服飾精品店之間，藏著一家「巷弄裡的小店」，供應超好吃的傳統台灣風味，台北特有的米粉、肉類和蔬菜料理——熱騰騰、鮮美又飽足！午餐後，我們快速停下來喝幾杯青草茶消暑，然後前往袖珍博物館。這是我們在台北最喜歡的室內景點之一。這裡有各種1:12比例的建築模型，靈感來自歷史事件、不同國家，甚至童話故事！有模型、玩具、微型房間盒子，還有更多精彩內容。真的是一個讓人放鬆又享受的家庭場所，能帶你穿越到不同的時空。我們強烈推薦來這裡玩（這不是業配，我們只是真的很喜歡！）。在城市裡度過愉快的一天後，我們回到家裡過夜。季芳興奮地分享她訂了一個從小時就喜歡的蛋糕（猜猜看是哪一家好吃的蛋糕店？），邀請全家人一起享受這懷舊又甜蜜的時刻！萬歲！下週我們有特別的影片公告要跟大家分享。再下下週我們會繼續台北第三集。我們是個大家庭，非常享受在這個美好又奇妙地方的冒險。謝謝你們的陪伴，我們很快再見面。旅程中的弟兄， Stephen和季芳全家 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Today's video is part 2 of our visit to Taipei, and Aunt Pamela and Adeline have an action-packed day planned for our whole family. We start off in scenic Beitou, for a pleasant stroll around the Thermal valley, where turquoise waters boil, and billowing sulfurous plumes rise all around us. It's a perfect morning activity for a family like ours. Maybe your family would enjoy it as well! We then make our way to a nearby shopping center, where hidden among clothing botiques you'll find a 'hole-in-the-wall' restaurant serving up delicious bowls traditional Taiwanese-style vermicelli, meat and vegetable dishes- super hot, and super good! After lunch we make a quick stop for some cups of herb-grass tea, and then head over to the miniatures museum. This is one of our favorite indoor places to visit in Taipei. There are a wide variety of 1:12 scale architectural replicas, inspired from historical events, different countries, and even fairytales! There are models, toys, room boxes, and so much more. It really is a relaxing and enjoyable family venue that transports you to different times and places. We highly recommend visiting (this is not a sponsored promotion, we just like it!). After a fun day in the city, we head back to our home for the night. Christy excitedly shares the news that she ordered a cake that she liked since she was a child, and invites the family to enjoy the nostalgic, and sweet moment together! Hooray! 台北山地探險，深坑古老魅力，臭豆腐，古玩+糖果！Explore Taipei trails, ancient Shengkeng, stinky tofu, vintage toys &candy

在今天的影片裡，我們一家抵達了熱鬧的台北，迎接我們的是一位熟悉的面孔——這位 VIP，相信很多訂閱的朋友都已經認識了！你猜是誰呢？這位特別來賓和 Adeline 一起規劃了今天的行程，裡面有很多我們大部分人都還沒體驗過的地方和活動。我們先從附近的瀑布開始，來一場適合全家的健行。接著下山，走進深坑那充滿古早味的老街，在那些可愛的小店裡逛逛，店裡賣各種按摩器具、藝術品、手工藝品、紀念品、懷舊糖果和玩具，還有好多好多東西！走了一整天，我們去了一家評價很高的臭豆腐餐廳，享用了美味的豆腐、炸河蝦，還有其他好幾道菜。回到今晚住的地方後，我們的 VIP 臨時決定再去買些好吃的街頭小吃。他點了什麼呢？你得看影片才知道喔！東西太多了，我連一半都不認識，但我知道通通都超好吃！謝謝收看！台北 Part 2 很快就來囉！願你和你的家人平安， Stephen & Family ----------------------------------------------- In today's video our family arrives in bustling Taipei, and are welcomed by a familiar face, a VIP that most of you subscribers already know! Can you guess who? This special guest & Adeline have planned out today's itinerary, with places and experiences new for most of us. We start off with a family-style hike to a nearby waterfall. We then cascade down the mountain and invade the charming, old-world streets of Shengkeng, and do some shopping at quaint shops selling all kinds of massage instruments, artwork, handicrafts, souvenirs, old-school candy and toys, and so much more. After all that walking, we stop by a highly-recommended Stinky tofu restaurant for a scrumptious meal of tofu, fried river shrimp, and several other dishes. Heading back to our abode for the night, our VIP makes a last-minute call for some tasty street food. You'll have to watch the video to see what our VIP ordered, there are just too many items, and I don't know what half of them are. But I know that they were delicious! Thanks for watching! 花蓮時光：台灣水果和飲料、海浪鵝卵石，夜市美食！Ep. 10 Hualien Moments：Morning Sweetness, Afternoon Waves, Night Market?Ep10

已經環島了一陣子，女兒們發現我們吃水果的量好像比較少，今天來到了市場看到了一個水果攤位，大家很開心的下去買我們想念已久的水果。看到五彩繽紛的水果，是北美洲沒有的，趕快採購一些然後繼續旅行。再到達下一站之前，看到了一個飲料店，大女孩們想念的芒果口味冰沙，趕快點幾杯來解解饞。帶著期待的心，再一次造訪花蓮的七星潭，這是我們最喜歡的花蓮景點之一，每一次來一定要在這裡走一走。踏著美麗療癒的鵝卵石，吹著海風，聽著海浪的聲音，看著孩子們在海灘奔跑，想著，人生就是這些小小的幸福累積起來的。接下來我們要去吃美食，講到美食去到夜市就對了，我們到了東大門觀光夜市，這裡是台灣美食集中地，我們愛的:台灣熱炒，牛排，臭豆腐，飲料應有盡有。我們吃的非常飽足，最後帶著喜樂的心啃著烤玉米🌽，慢慢地走回車上結束了一天美好的行程。非常感謝您陪伴我們走生命的旅程。願上帝祝福你們 Stephen和季芳全家 We’ve been circling the island for a while now, and the girls noticed that we seemed to be eating less fruit than usual. Today we stopped at a market and spotted a fruit stand. Everyone was so happy to jump out and buy the fruits we’ve been missing for so long. Looking at all those colorful fruits you just don’t find in North America, we quickly stocked up and kept going. Before we reached the next stop, we saw a drink shop. The older girls were craving mango smoothies, so we ordered a few cups right away to satisfy that craving. With expectant hearts, we visited Qixingtan in Hualien once again. It’s one of our favorite places in Hualien—every time we come, we have to walk here. Stepping on those beautiful, healing cobblestones, feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, and watching the kids run along the beach… it made me think that life is really just the accumulation of these little moments of happiness. Next we went looking for good food. When it comes to food in Taiwan, you go to a night market. We headed to Dongdamen Night Market, a real hub of Taiwanese eats. All our favorites were there: Taiwanese stir-fries, steak, stinky tofu, drinks—you name it. We ate until we were completely full. Finally, with joyful hearts, we walked slowly back to the car munching on roasted corn 🌽, ending a truly wonderful day. Thank you so much for walking this journey of life with us.
