Ubud With Kids 🇮🇩 A Local Guide Showed Us a Different Side of Bali | 烏布親子深度遊
Looking for things to do in Ubud with kids that let your family experience more of Balinese culture? 🇮🇩 This ended up being one of our absolute favorite days of our entire Bali trip. We spent the day exploring Ubud with our local guide, Ida Dharma, who gave our family the opportunity to learn about Balinese culture, traditions, food, art, and everyday life. We started at Pura Tirta Empul, where we learned more about this important Hindu temple and watched as members of our family participated in the traditional water purification ritual with Ida's guidance. From there, we visited Kumulilir Coffee, where the kids got to explore the grounds and learn how civet coffee (cat poop coffee) is grown and processed. We then walked through beautiful rice fields near Ida's village before ending the day at his own home. And that was easily our favorite part. At Ida's home, the kids participated in an art activity while his family prepared an incredible home-cooked traditional Balinese meal for us. Afterwards Ida taught us traditional art and we all had a blast letting our creative juices flow. Sharing a meal and doing art together at his home was such a special experience and created some of our favorite memories from Bali.
