I have always believed that, with enough time, I would eventually learn how to let you go. But somewhere along the way, you became something far beyond a memory — an irreplaceable presence, quietly rooted in the deepest parts of me. You once told me that sex and love could exist separately. For a while, I believed I was capable of living that way too. Yet ever since the night we fought, I seem to have lost the version of myself who once knew how to be happy. There are moments when desire still finds its way to me, but when I am left alone with it, the emptiness that follows seems to outweigh whatever comfort it brings. No matter whose face I try to place in my thoughts, somehow, inexplicably, it is always you who returns. I miss you more than I know how to admit. Sometimes, all I want is to hold you in my arms again, even if only for a moment. And if, by some chance, you happen to read this, please don’t say anything to me. Pretend you never saw it. I’m afraid that if you acknowledge these words, the ache I’ve been trying so quietly to carry will only become harder to bear. So let it remain this way. Let me be alone with what I feel, and slowly, in my own time, learn how to swallow the words I never had the courage to say.
