Spanning across time, the mural bridges history and the future, from historic photographer Corky Lee to Taiwanese-American astronaut Kjell Lindgren. The characters surrounding the table—from Indonesian Batik patterns to vibrant Taiwanese textiles and modern identities—celebrate authentic self-expression. 畫壁畫真的沒有想像中那麼簡單！🎨🧑‍🎨 這次透過青年百億計畫在休士頓參與壁畫製作，才發現「畫」只是最後一步。從一開始的選牆、評估交通風險，到跟當地社區和屋主談判、甚至砍了兩棵擋住視線的樹！現場還學到了超酷的「噴漆定位法」，不靠投影機就能精準打稿。頂著 35°C 高溫、站上升降梯雖然讓手臂痛了兩天，但這段在烈日下揮灑汗水的過程，真的既辛苦又過癮！ 作畫過程雖然辛苦，但成就感真的無可取代。 揭幕式那天，看到自己的名字被簽在牆上的那一刻，眼眶真的忍不住泛淚。 這趟旅程，誕生的不只是一幅巨幅壁畫，還象徵著我們全新創作視角的誕生， 更見證了這段一起革命、無可取代的深厚情誼。 Creating a massive mural is way more complex than just putting paint on a wall! Through the Youth Overseas Program in Houston, we learned that painting is actually the final step. From site scouting, traffic safety assessments, and community negotiations—to even cutting down two trees for visibility! We mastered the “doodle grid” technique and operated boom lifts in 35°C heat. It was physically exhausting, but seeing the vision come to life made every drop of sweat worth it! Although the painting process was tough, the sense of accomplishment was truly irreplaceable. On the day of the unveiling ceremony, the moment I saw my name signed on the wall, I couldn‘t help but tear up. 解鎖美國藝術家父母家的家常晚餐！真實體驗長這樣 🇺🇸✨ 這不是美劇，是我們在休士頓最真實的家庭時光！這次跟著青年百億海外圓夢基金計劃來到藝術家父母家吃晚餐。從開胃菜超澎湃的各式起司水果盤開始，正餐自取滿滿的肉與蔬菜，到最後甜點時間—叔叔阿姨竟然特地做了「台灣國旗顏色」的糖霜餅乾，甚至拿出專門挖冰淇淋的湯匙！比起華麗的餐點，這份發自內心的細心與熱情，才是最動人的文化交流。 Unlocked our first authentic American home dinner in Houston! Beyond the incredible charcuterie board and hearty main course, the sweetest surprise was the homemade cookies decorated in the colors of the Taiwan flag. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home. 政府買單把我送到美國 21 天？！青年百億計畫都在幹嘛 🇺🇸✨ 我錄取青年百億計畫啦！這次飛到美國休士頓進行為期 21 天的創作大冒險！這趟行程有兩大核心任務：第一，我們要聯手休士頓最傳奇的壁畫教父 GONZO247 以及他的老婆Carolin，從腦力激盪到完成一幅巨幅壁畫；第二，產出個人專屬作品集！前幾天不只在工作室密集交流，還把各大美術館當後花園、安迪沃荷與瑪格麗特的真跡看到飽，甚至收到超多精美禮物！但最狂的，是接下來的神秘行程！ I got selected for the Youth Overseas Program and flew all the way to Houston for a 21-day creative journey! Our main mission is twofold: collaborating with Houston’s legendary mural artist GONZO247 and his wife Carolin to create a massive mural, while crafting our personal portfolios.
